The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has unveiled its second list of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024, including prominent leaders from various states. The list, comprising 72 candidates, features key figures like Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari and Piyush Goyal, as well as former Chief Ministers Manohar Lal Khattar and Basavraj Bommai.

1. Gujarat:In Gujarat, the BJP announced seven new candidates, replacing five sitting MPs, including junior Railway minister Darshana Jardosh. This move reflects the party's strategy to introduce fresh faces and invigorate its electoral prospects in the state.

2. Uttarakhand:Former Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat will contest from Haridwar, while former Rajya Sabha MP Anil Baluni has been nominated from Garhwal (Pauri). These nominations underscore the BJP's focus on experienced leadership in key constituencies.

3. Haryana:The BJP declared candidates for six Lok Sabha seats in Haryana, with former Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar set to contest from Karnal. This decision follows Khattar's recent resignation as the state's chief minister, indicating a significant political realignment within the party.

4. Other States:The party also announced candidates for various other constituencies across India, including Mumbai North, Nagpur, Bangalore South, and Mysore, among others. Leaders like Nitin Gadkari, Piyush Goyal, Anurag Singh Thakur, and Basavaraj Bommai will be contesting from these crucial seats.

The BJP's second candidate list reflects a strategic mix of experienced leaders and new faces, aiming to consolidate its electoral base and secure a strong position in the Lok Sabha. The inclusion of prominent leaders and the nomination of candidates in key constituencies highlight the party's determination to maintain its electoral dominance and address emerging political challenges in different states.
